Mr Michael Morcos is a leading Senior Consultant in Gynaecology and Gynaecological Cancer with over 35 years experience in managing women’s health issues.

He has a special interest in minimal access and vaginal surgery and he is heavily involved in the cervical screening program and provision of colposcopy services for women.

He is a leading Senior Consultant in Gynaecology and Gynaecological Cancer at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust with over 35 years experience in managing women’s health issues.

He has a special interest in minimal access and vaginal surgery and he is heavily involved in the cervical screening program and provision of colposcopy services for women.

He is fully compliant with the GMC and RCOG regulations on specialist registration and continuing education, and is a member of relevant speciality national and international organizations.

Education

He was qualified from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt in 1977 and he obtained all his post-graduate training from the UK. During his training he worked at University College Hospital (UCL) and Queen’s Charlotte Hospital and gained extensive experience in both the fields of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He passed the MRCOG exams and become firstly a Member then a Fellow in the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (RCOG).

Awards

In recognition of his significant involvement in teaching Gynaecologists, he has been awarded Honorary Clinical Teacher in the Department of Obstretics & Gynaecology by University College of London. He is also a member of the RCOG national and international Hospital Recognition Committee.

Being a BSCPP accredited colposcopist he’s heavily involved in the cervical screening programme and provision of colposcopy services for women in the North of London.

In recognition of his significant involvement in teaching undergraduates, he has been awarded Honorary Clinical Teacher in the Department of O&G by UCL. He’s also a member of the RCOG national and international Hospital Recognition Committee.
