The ever changing face of Lauren Pope: TOWIE star’s startling metamorphosis from busty glamour model to polished TV personality<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her appearances on ITV2 staple The Only Way Is Essex has introduced her to a younger generation of fans, but those with longer memories can no doubt remember a rather different looking Lauren Pope from her glamour modelling heyday in the early noughties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 31-year-old has come a long way, in terms of appearance, since bursting onto the London club scene as a busty Page 3 fixture with a penchant for cleavage revealing crops, low-slung jeans and orange spray-tans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the pre-TOWIE party circuit her image and looks were markedly different \u2013 but she readily admits to having veneers, undertaking rhinosplasty and going under the knife for a potentially disastrous breast augmentation and, subsequently, a second breast enlargement procedure in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reality star admits she was stunned after discovering she was one of 40,000 women affected by the faulty French Poly Implant Prothese (PIP) when she initially had her breast size boosted. \u2018The lady that works for my surgeon rang me quite late at night, it was about ten o\u2019clock when I got the call,\u2019 she said during an appearance on ITV1 documentary The Silicon Scandal. \u2018Her phone number came up on my phone and I thought, \u201cOh God, it\u2019s not going to be good news.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation had originally helped her sustain a successful glamour modelling career , and she admits she was initially confused after being told the faulty implants needed to be removed as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018She said, \u201cJust to let you know, you have got those implants, the English government aren\u2019t saying you have to have them out yet, but the French are,\u2019 Lauren recalled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Because I hadn\u2019t really paid attention, I didn\u2019t know whether it was really bad, and so straight away my gut feeling was like, \u201cOh my God, I\u2019m going to have to have another boob job!\u201d.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The difficult procedure to have them removed was documented on TOWIE in 2012, but while she was initially afraid of having the operation Lauren took the opportunity to slightly increase her bust size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She explained: ‘They do tell you you might have to have another boob job after 15 or 20 years just for safety reasons, but I always said that I would never have it done again, I’d rather let them rot inside me, I do not want to go through that again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘So I thought, “Oh my god, I’m going to have to have it done again”, but then my next thought was, and this probably sounds really bad, that I could actually get a new pair of bigger boobs.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2011 Lauren’s cosmetic enhancements continued when she was joined by former boyfriend Kirk Norcross for a \u2018his and hers\u2019 nose job \u2013 and she was delighted with the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She told Heat magazine: \u2018I was like, \u201cOh, it looks the same! What can I have done next?\u201d I think people will look at me and think, what was the point? But it got rid of the bump I hated.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the surgery banished her bump she had hoped that surgeons could change the shape of the end of her nose, but was told they couldn\u2019t because it was so fragile following previous operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018I wanted the tip of mine shaping as well,\u2019 she said. \u2018But it was so weak, where I\u2019ve had work before, the surgeon said I\u2019d run the risk of it collapsing.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cosmetic experts believe the TOWIE star may well have had further work to give her previously fuller face greater definition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018I would say she\u2019s had Anti-Wrinkle Injections to give her a more defined jawline and in her forehead, creating a smooth and line-free area,\u2019 Annemarie Gillett, non-surgical Director at Transform Cosmetic Surgery, told Heat. \u2018It also looks like she\u2019s had fillers in her cheek and nose-to-lip lines.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her comments corroborate remarks made by Facial Plastic and Laser Surgeon Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said at the time: ‘Lauren Pope appears to have had several cosmetic procedures including Anti-Wrinkle Injections and fillers throughout her face and clearly her nose and a Breast Augmentation.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile Lauren is preparing for the launch of her new fashion line inspired by catwalk couture and her very own wardrobe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Bringing out my own fashion line has been a dream of mine for a long time, but I needed to find the right brand to collaborate with so I could have input into the design,’ she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘The range includes both amazing partywear but also glamorous day wear such as embellished jumpers and cool loungewear, as I often struggle to find nice comfy clothing for everyday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
