As we age, a loss of collagen and elastin in our skin can lead to looser facial tone and the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and creases. As a result of losing this protein and a natural thinning of the face through loss of fat. The Silhouette Soft suture is made of a clear absorbable material of Poly Lactic Acid and eight absorbable cones. The length of the suture is 30 cm. The eight absorbable cones are made of Lactide Glicolide 82-18: they are positioned on the suture and separated by knots. There are four cones on each side of the suture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The treatment aims to obtain a volumisation, lifting and skin tightening in any area the sutures are placed. A local anaesthesia is required only at the entry and exit points of the sutures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Downtime after a Thread Lift treatment is minimal, however patients may experience some very slight bruising or swelling in the days following the procedure and some mild tension in the areas that have been elevated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the week after treatment patients should not undergo any dental surgery, and they must avoid facial and beauty treatments. It is also recommended to avoid any excessive exercise for two weeks after the treatment. It is also advisable for patients to sleep on their back and slightly elevated (using 2 pillows) during recovery and they must be gentle when cleansing their face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suture gently lifts and re-positions tissues that have fallen into the hands of gravity, resulting in a shapelier, younger looking face. Hollow cheeks are given a more full appearance, while sagginess is lifted and wrinkles are eased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After inserting the suture, the Surgeon applies slight pressure on the treated area. In this way, the Surgeon reshapes the surface of the skin and makes it visibly smoother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the principal component of Silhouette Soft – polylactic acid (PLA) the regenerative effect of Silhouette Soft is gradual and natural. Once the suture is applied, the polylactic acid acts on the deeper layers of the skin and helps increase the volume of saggy areas, restoring shapeliness to the face gradually and perfectly naturally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the procedure, thread made of polylactic acid is drawn through the skin after injections of local anaesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi says that he uses the thread to give a tailor-made result, lifting specific parts of the face.This acid is completely biodegradable and acts on the deeper layers of the skin and naturally stimulates the body so that it produces its own collagen.
