Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi, a leading surgeon from the London Medical and Aesthetic Clinic on Harley Street, agrees that while surgery is on the rise for male patients, the popularity of non-surgical treatments, which offer natural results with minimal downtime, is certainly on the up and is fuelling the increase in the male aesthetics market.
Recently released stats by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons showed that botulinum toxin injections were the most popular non-surgical treatment with men followed by laser hair removal and hyaluronic dermal fillers.
Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi believes that the rise in the number of professional men seeking treatment has been fuelled by the current economic climate, with men feeling the pressure to turn back the clock so they can compete with their younger counterparts in the workplace.
Whatever the reason, botulinum toxin injection (Anti-Wrinkle Injections) have been increasingly more commonplace for men.
