The Aesthetic Medicine Symposium

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi, an invited faculty at The Aesthetic Medicine Symposium, Queen Mary University of London

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi was very honored to be an invited faculty to lecture about his new theory “5D Non-surgical Facial Sculpting" using Collagen Stimulation  and Dermal Fillers at The Aesthetic Medicine Symposium at Queen Mary University of London.

This course is run by The Barts and the London’s Academic Plastic Surgery Group, based at The Centre for Cutaneous Research (CCR) at The Blizard Institute (BICMS).

The CCR is composed of the academic unit of Dermatology and the Cancer Research UK Skin Tumour Laboratory, and is one of the largest cutaneous research centres in Europe.

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi has enjoyed listening to Dr Andriano Santorelli about starting in Aesthetic Medicine.  Dr Santorelli is the director of Aesthetic Medicine at Health Park Clinic and consultant Plastic Surgeon at Grimaldi Hospital Naples, Italy.

Mr Ali Ghanem’s  lecture about “Platlet Rich Plasma in Aesthetic Medicine “ has generated a huge interest amongst surgeons and audience with the controversial views about this latest aesthetic treatment.

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi has also enjoyed listening to Dr Joney de Suza who lectured about Aesthetic Cosmeceuticals’ Protocols. Dr J de Suza is qualified in occupational medicine located in Brazil.

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi was interested to learn about the latest Laser Applications in Aesthetic Medicine by Dr Gerardo Malzone, who has a specialist interest in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic and works at Sapienza University in Rome, Italy.

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi enjoyed listening to Lorna Bowes who talked about Evolution of Aesthetic Office Based Peels. Ms Bowes has over 20 years of experience as a lecturer and aesthetic practitioner in skin care and peels. She is a founding member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses and is currently a Consultant Editor of the Journal of Aesthetic Nursing.

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi, the Aesthetic Medicine programme focuses on non-operative techniques and is open to a variety of clinicians such as Doctors, Dentists and Nurses. The distance learning modules enable students to progress at a pace that fits around their daily commitments with set assignment submission deadlines during the academic year facilitating planning.

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi, the teaching content provide students with a strong scientific background to aesthetic medicine including skin physiology and hair biology. A sound knowledge base developes in basic and advanced techniques such as Anti-Wrinkle Injections, fillers, dermarollers, lasers and cosmeceuticals.

The importance of evidence-based practice will be developed through critique of aesthetic literature and synthesis of balanced views, impacting on the practice. There will be crucial hands-on training through four clinical days within the 2 year academic period. Accompanying lectures will help students evaluate their practice and consolidate learning they have been undertaking throughout the year.
