Men account for 25% of the business in Cynosure clinics nationwide and this has been steadily increasing over the past five years.
Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi: In the past 12 months, laser hair removal has proved to be the most popular treatment for men across all of the Cynosure clinics with 100% of the clinics surveyed reporting this as the most popular treatment for their male clients. Additionally, men are also seeking laser therapy for anti-ageing, tattoo removal and thread vein removal.
This typically occurs when they have successfully treated excessive hair growth using lasers. Cynosure clinics are reporting that over the past 12 months they have seen an increase in men inquire about the following treatments: Thread vein removal -41 %increase in enquirers Tattoo removal -16%increase in enquirers Anti-ageing -8% increase in enquirers.
Dr Ayham Al-Ayobui: In the survey, clinics attribute the increase in business from male clients to their increasing understanding of laser treatments and this in turn is attributed to both television programmers and the fact that there is often no other alternative treatment available.
