Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi’s views on the growing trend of mature women spending on cosmetic surgery
Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi was asked after the controversial article published in The Mirror (09/08/2013) about a sixty year old Gran who spent £20,000 on plastic surgery, Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi has been asked by the media to give his professional views about the growing trend of the more mature ladies who are spending fortunes on cosmetic surgery and treatments.
Dr Ayoubi started by re-emphasising his motto “the better we look, the better we feel”, he also added that as a facial plastic and laser surgeon he must appraise the work of the surgeons who had performed a breast augmentation procedure, cheek implants. Anti-Wrinkle Injections and a tummy tuck on Patricia Moss who “looks great for her age and despite the cosmetic procedures... very natural”.
It seems that Patricia was very keen to maintain her good looks and a youthful appearance to attract the attention of toy boys and enjoys being a serial dater.!!!
Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi said “Generally women don’t have cosmetic procedures for vanity, only very few of them do that !
The majority of women have the want to look better, fresher and even younger which gives them better self-esteem which is important”.
He added “let’s be honest, none of us are getting any younger and whilst it’s quite normal to grow old gracefully there is no harm at all in enhancing but preserving our natural beauty.”
A fantastic advert for cosmetic procedures for the more mature lady is reality TV star and wife of Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon who has confessed to spending a staggering £120,000 on plastic surgery - and says it was worth every penny.
Self-confessed surgery addict Joan Rivers who recently celebrated her 80th birthday is another example of a more mature woman who has opted for surgical help rather than "growing old gracefully" and looks unbelievable for her age.
Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi’s philosophy on treating all of his patient’s no matter their age which he has implemented over the past twenty three years practicing plastic surgery, from the smallest of treatments such as Anti-Wrinkle Injections injections up to the most advanced facial reconstructive surgery, is that patients must have realistic expectations and never underestimate the possible side effects or complications of any procedure.
She is quoted to have once said, "I believe in plastic surgery" and photos of her just show how looking good makes you feel good, she is full of energy and happiness.
Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi “It is our duty as surgeons and doctors to minimize the possible side effects and complications of procedures and treatments but patients must appreciate these cannot be eliminated”.
