Whether you’re a martyr to migraines or just get the occasional blinder, finding out your trigger is the first step to a cure….

They’re one of the most common health problems for women- you’re three times more likely  to get headaches than a man – but that doesn’t mean you have to put up with them. Yes painkillers can be a quick fix, but treat one headache too many in this way and your remedy could trigger another blast of pain or cause more health problems too much paracetamol  l is linked to liver  damage, while ibuprofen and aspirin may irritate your stomach.

What we all want is not to have to deal with headaches in the first place. No more snapping at your kids, cancelling friends or rushing home from work to lie in a darkened room.

And that may not be possible as it sounds. Headaches have very typical triggers, and doing a bit of detective work could help identify and treat yours.

Start by keeping a diary for three months, recording not just the headaches but also your menstrual cycle, what you eat and drink, and the sort of day you’ve had.

Can Anti-Wrinkle Injections Help?

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-Wrinkle Injections was discovered as a migraine treatment by accident when a surgeon’s wrinkle patients reported fewer headaches.

It’s now approved by NICE for the treatment of chronic migraines (defines as at least 15 days of headache a month, of which at least eight are migraines) and is available from specialist migraine clinics. If you have regular migraines you should be aware that a common cause of chronic migraine is medication overuse.

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi of The Medical and Aesthetic Clinic of Harley Street, speciallises in chronic migraine treatments with Anti-Wrinkle Injections comments “Anti-Wrinkle Injections is an established anti-wrinkle treatment in the field of facial aesthetics. However, in reality, Anti-Wrinkle Injections is also an extremely effective treatment for the relief of a wide variety of medical conditions including chronic migraines and is often the treatment of choice for medical doctors, particularly for pain management and the relief of muscle spasms.”

Emma Beaven, is one of Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi’s Patients who was treated with Anti-Wrinkle Injections for her migraines. ‘Over the past years I’ve had a lot of stress in my life- and more than my fair share of headaches. I saw my Doctor .and also had my eyes tested but with no underlying cause than tension, the only option left was painkillers. Then I heard that Anti-Wrinkle Injections had been approved for the treatment of migraines on the NHS. I didn’t qualify as I was only getting three migraines a month, but it was upsetting me enough that I decided to pay for Anti-Wrinkle Injections privately, at the London Medical & Aesthetic Clinic. I had the side effect of a less furrowed brow- which was great- but being headache- free was fantastic.  I would consider it again if my headaches come back when this Anti-Wrinkle Injections wears off, after nine months.

The next step is to call the London Medical and Aesthetic clinic and schedule a consultation. At that time

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi will advise you whether you are a candidate for this procedure, and what other possibilities exist for improving and treating chronic migraine.
