SmartLipo is a less invasive procedure than the old traditional form of liposuction and can be used on the same areas that liposuction is used. If you are looking for the best results with the least discomfort and shortest recovery time, SmartLipo is the type of liposuction for you.

SmartLipo

Due to the Smartlipo cannula being very small, Smartlipo can be performed on the stomach, legs, thighs, neck and other larger troublesome areas of stubborn fat.

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi: The smartlipo laser energy will coagulate the tissue, thereby sculpting body contours and tightening the skin, preventing any saggy skin.

A third generation of Smartlipo, the SmartLipo Triplex, offers greater fat reduction and skin tightening and it is an improvement upon the SmartLipo MPX series.

The Triplex adds another benefit to the original Smartlipo system with an additional wavelength. It is the first laser lipolysis technology that uses three wavelengths which are well absorbed by fat.

SmartlipoTriPlex is the first multiplex triple wavelength laser lipolysis workstation that’s designed to treat all your patient’s body contouring concerns:

  • More effective laser lipolysis
  • Proven tissue coagulation resulting in tightening
  • Reliable, controlled energy delivery
  • Reduced liposuction treatment time and less downtime
  • Less bleeding and bruising
  • High-definition sculpting capabilities
SmartlipoTriPlex

Smartlipo TriPlex laser is the latest generation of laser lipolysis workstations. This new platform offers a solid state Nd:YAG laser capable of emitting laser radiation in three wavelengths: 1064nm, 1320nm and 1440nm. These versatile wavelengths can be used independently or can be uniquely blended using MultiPlex™ technology.

The new and improved Smartlipo TriPlex design gives  greater absorption in fatty tissue, the addition of the 1440 nm wavelength to Smartlipo significantly exceeds the performance of all diode lasers (924 nm and 980 nm).

SmartLipo Triplex adds a 1440 nm wavelength to the MPX generation of the laser. The three wavelengths are combined in one laser output. Two wavelengths fire sequentially, liquefying the fat and tightening the skin with collagen stimulation.

The 1064 and 1440 wavelengths combine for fat liquefaction and the 1064 and 1320 wavelengths combine for collagen stimulation and blood vessel coagulation.

What to expect

The treated areas are marked with a special marker pencil; lines are traced outwards from initial point, a very small incision that is made between one to two millimeters in which the local anaesthetic will be injected.

The SmartLipo laser is then turned on the optical fibre is inserted into the incision that was created for the infiltration of the anaesthetic solution; its transit through the skin is carefully monitored by guiding light on the laser device.

Introducing pulsed laser energy that liquefies the fat cells and this will be removed from the body by aspiration.

The treatment begins by slowly moving forwards lengthwise accurately following the lines that have been traced on the skin and constantly maintaining the same speed of movement, the full treatment takes approximately 30-45 minutes.

After the smartlipo laser lypolisis treatment is completed the fatty tissue will be more compact with a greater tone without any surface irregularities. A compression dressing is often applied to help with any bleeding or swelling as no stitches are required.

There may be some mild discomfort, swelling and bruising that can occur after Smart Lipo treatment.

Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi: Most patients are able to return to normal activities the next day after the procedure.

The body contours will gradually improve day by day, with visible results within 2 to 3 months post-treatment. Within that period the patient is to attend follow up visits to make sure the results are as expected. However, it usually takes 4 to 9 months to see final results, varying individually between patients.
