Areas of body fat such as muffin tops, love handles, double chins and saddle bags can seem impossible to eliminate despite a healthy diet and exercise. Fat freezing is the latest body contouring treatment that banishes these unwanted areas. It is proven to work by eliminating fat cells and the results are noticeable and long lasting.
The procedure
Gel pads are placed over the skin to prevent any skin damage while the cooling plates gradually lower the temperature of the fat cells. Fat freezes faster than skin cells which means that the machine is cold enough to kill the fat cells but not cold enough to damage the skin. The procedure takes approximately one hour and after the procedure the area is usually massaged.
After the fat cells are killed during the cooling process the white blood cells attack them and convert them to triglycerides that are metabolised by the liver and eliminated.
There are no incisions, you can return to work the same day and you are one step closer to achieving your desired body shape.
Who is it for?
Fat freezing is specially designed for those who have stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. It is not intended for those who are obese as it is not a weight loss solution it is a body contouring treatment.
Commonly treated areas are:
• Abdomen
• Flanks/hips
• Upper and lower back
• Inner thighs
• Outer thighs Inner knees
• Arms
What is the Main difference when compared to other procedures?
The fat freezing procedure results in a natural and notable reduction of fat tissue in stubborn areas.
Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi: A big advantage is that patients can now avoid the traumatic experience of invasive surgeries including liposuction and tummy tucks and it avoids the risk of damage to surrounding tissue.
The results are not as fast nor are they as dramatic as liposuction or tummy tucks but fat freezing is an effective alternative for those who want to avoid the higher pain, cost and risk associated with surgical procedures.
