Most patients find VelaShape a comfortable treatment. It has been likened to the sensation of a ‘hot-stone massage.’ The treatment parameters are easily adjusted to ensure a comfortable experience. Patients having the VelaShape treatment will do so lying down.
A lotion will be applied to the required area so the device can move easily over the skin. The device comes in different sizes and designs for specific treatment areas. The laser therapist will choose the appropriate hand piece to glide evenly across the skin.
The head of the machine uses a pulsed vacuum to pull the tissue closer to the energy source, as infrared light heats the fat cells in the targeted area. This combination of technologies increases the metabolism of the fatty area, resulting in smoother skin and circumference reduction on the target area.
Velashape treatment is not time consuming, and smaller areas take so little time to treat that women from nearby offices often undergo Velashape treatment in their lunch hour and return straight to work after the treatment.
