Environ skin care range provides extensive research and development to offer you exceptional skin care products. Formulated by Dr Des Fernandes, a world-renowned plastic surgeon, the range contains a unique combination of active ingredients to protect and nourish the skin.
Environ is based on Vitamins and antioxidants and when these ingredients are combined, they help to heal, repair and protect against free radical and UV damage.
Vitamin A is one of the key ingredients having a corrective and anti-ageing affect on the skin. itamin A, C and E also helps to stimulate the natural production of elastin and collagen, something that unfortunately depletes as we age.
Environ is all about results and is more cosmeceutical as opposed to cosmetic, penetrating through the layers of the skin rather than just sitting on the surface.
In the 1980s, Dr Des Fernandes, a prominent Cape Town plastic surgeon, was the first person in the world to introduce vitamin A in high effective doses into the formulation of skin care products, in the treatment of sun-damaged skin.
The cosmetic manufacturing company, Environ Skin Care (Pty) Ltd., was founded by Dr Fernandes in 1990 and he soon expanded its number of products into a full skin care range.
The Environ Range
There are many ranges in Environ, all designed for different and specific skin types allowing each individual a bespoke regime.
AVST range
The AVST Creams 1 – 5 are Environ’s main and most popular range formulated around vitamin A (Retinol).
These moisturisers contain vitamin A and antioxidants including vitamins E, vitamin C, Green Tea Extract, Honeybush and Rooibos Tea Extracts, Resveratrol and Beta-Carotene. The concentration of vitamins A and C increase in the step-up system of the moisturisers. Patients are advised to follow the step-up system as prescribed to achieve a high and very beneficial strength of Retinol.
Ionzyme range
The Ionzyme range is Environ’s premium range of skin care products that provides a complete skin care programme containing essential vitamins, antioxidants and peptides. This scientifically advanced combination of ingredients works in synergy to assist in the appearance of a smoother skin texture with a healthy glow.
Ionzyme C-Quence products are Dr Des Fernades best performing formulations. Patients can achieve quicker and more beneficial results by tailoring a skincare regime around the C-Quence products. Each protocol is individually tailored specifically to your needs.
Intensive range
The Intensive range products are add-on formulations that patients can utilise to treat or enhance specific issues, such as pigmentation, melasma, broken capillaries, fine lines and sensitive or highly reactive skin. The Intensive range is used to complement the step-up system of Environ’s AVST and Ionzyme vitamin A skin care programs. This range can also address concerns of congestion, photo-damage and textural concerns.
Evenescence range
The Environ Evenescence range of products may be used in addition to the AVST and Ionzyme ranges. This unique combination of ingredients works in perfect synergy to give the skin a fresh healthy glow and helps to improve the appearance of uneven skin tone.
The addition of C-Boost to a regime can help brighten the complexion, giving your skin that clarified dewy glow.
B-Active range
The Environ ß-Active range is a 5 step skin care programme formulated for patients who have problematic skin. The majority of the products contain Australian Tea Tree Oil, colostrum and salicylic acid, helping to resolve the patients breakouts without stripping the skin of its natural oils.
Suncare
Suncare is the most import factor in any skincare regime and Environ do not treat this area lightly. Combining traditional SPF formulations, Dr Des also utilised beneficial antioxidants and vitamins to help fight free-radicals and increase the natural sun protection.
Environ at our clinic
Our clinic is delighted to offer a skin analysis consultation with one of our aesthetic therapists. The appointment is usually 20- 30 minutes in length and provides the practitioner with the opportunity to examine the skin thoroughly and discuss the patient wishes after which a complete personalised regime is given to help achieve the best desired results.
